Within the Old Town, or ‘Viking Triangle’ as is better known, you’ll find a historic palace, tower and medieval museum. From its harbour quayside, to its narrow streets, Waterford is a joy to stroll at leisure. Watch local craftsmen at work and pick up high-quality souvenirs from the House of Waterford Crystal. As evening falls a great traditional Irish entertainment scene erupts.

Suggested Itinerary

Day 1: Ferry crossing from Fishguard to Rosslare. You’ll be in Waterford in no time at all, leaving you to settle into your hotel base at your own pace.

Day 2: This morning discover the ‘Old Town’ of Waterford, your guide will talk you through the history and happenings of the Viking Triangle such as the invasion of Strongbow and his subsequent marriage to Aoife. Afternoon for further exploration at own leisure.

Day 3: A visit to the House of Waterford Crystal, where on a fully guided factory tour demonstrates - Crystal Blowing and Mould Making, Quality Inspection & Finishing, Crystal Cutting, Sculpting & Engraving. All of what is required for a Waterford Crystal masterpiece! Soak up the lively evening scene as you spend one last night in this charming city.

Day 4: Depart hotel after breakfast for your return ferry crossing to the UK.
